The John Boos & Co. Vintage Chopping Table is a beautiful piece made of Northern hard rock maple, with a graceful coved riser top featuring a 4" backsplash. The top is tapered in the corners, and made from solid, traditional maple. Its work height is 36", with a 36"x 24" x 1-3/4" maple oil finish top. But what really makes this piece special is its functionality. The John Boos designers love the ability to uncover the "scraper hole" feature û so that produce, fruit, etc., can be chopped, cleaned, minced û and all the "good stuff" can be pushed right through the hole into a bowl or onto a plate that waits below. Knives and other utensils can be stored in the drawers beneath the cutting board space (with one drawer even provided with knife slots). And the maple slatted shelf below provides ample storage for bowls, pots, pans or even a set of china. Inset side panels make the piece stunning from any angle. Pictured in Natural Maple.
