Made in Seki Japan. This highly authentic set of Japanese knives includes a 4" Petty Knife which can be used as a parer, often to remove skin from fruits and vegetables, and can be utilized as a precision tool when preparing sushi and sashimi. One 7 1/4" Santoku Japanese Chef's Knife, so it is ideal for a wide variety of cutting duties. Vegetables, Meats, Herbs etc... One 10" Yanagiba, the traditional Japanese knife used in the preparation of Sushi and Sashimi. Includes carrying case and gift box. These premier pieces of stamped Japanese cutlery consist of a full tang and three rivet construction. The edge on each one of these knives is extremely sharp, consistent in the Japanese tradition of cutlery. Made of high-carbon, no-stain, molybdenum, vanadium 440A steel with a 3 rivet pakkawood handle. The hardness of the Asian Precision Series is 57-58. This is slighlty harder than Messermeister's German cutlery, staying with Japanese cutlery tradition. Asian precision series is manufactured in Seki Japan, the ancient historical city recognized globally for it's sword and knife making.
