The John Boos Gathering Block was designed to serve as centrally located kitchen food preparation station, providing quick and easy access to and from counters, sinks, refrigerator and range areas. Measuring 25" x 24", the four-inch-thick, solid endgrain Northern Hard rock maple top is as rugged as they come, yet simple to maintain. Solid 4ˆ square legs, finished in your choice of colors, support the heavy butcher block and provide a rustic look. A large wicker basket, mounted under the top, slides out on either side, for quick access to stored utensils, recipe ingredients, cookbooks or other materials. A slatted lower shelf provides additional storage capacity. Its base is also made of solid maple, with detailed router legs and turned feet. Even though it has the look of the past, the bottom shelf is strong enough to hold the most rugged kitchen equipment.
